Salary

R216  005.70  –  R282  519.39  p.a.  (CU)  (plus  10%  scarce  skills  allowance subject to certain conditions)

Qualifications/ Requirements

  National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  At  least  3  years  relevant  post-qualification  experience  in  Transportation Planning and Road Safety

  Eligibility  for  registration  with  ECSA  in  terms  of  the  Engineering Professions Act will be an advantage

  Experience in MS Project, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  Code EB driver’s licence

Key Performance Areas

  Provide a technical advisory service associated with design, Draughting and

contract management 

  Monitoring of all aspects of computerized and vehicle activated traffic signals

  Conduct feasibility studies to enable accurate assessment of adaptability and

improvement of signal timings

  Site visits for new developments and projects in order to provide directions on

signage installation, traffic lights, control boxes and cabling 

  Progress reports on the status of contract work/ work in progress
