Qualifications/ Requirements

  Trade tested Artisan Mechanic

  3  years  relevant  post  qualification  experience  including  heavy  plant  as well as 1 year supervisory experience

  Valid code C driver’s licence with a valid PDP

  .

Key Performance Areas

  Provision of guidelines and instructions to subordinates

  Planning,  scheduling  and  implementation  of  work  programmes  and procedures

  Co-ordination  and  control  of  the  City  Fleet’s  repairs  and  Servicing  section, including the monitoring and stock control of spare parts, monitoring of testing of  heavy  duty  plant  post work sequences and the checking of components, parts and materials prior to commencing specific work sequences

The successful candidate will report to the Fleet Manager: Maintenance.

S/he must be prepared to work overtime if required.
