Qualifications/ Requirements
National Diploma in
Civil Engineering
3 years
relevant post diploma
experience and sewer
reticulation operations is prerequisite for appointment as a Senior
Technician
Code EB driver’s
license.
Key Performance Areas
Responsible for
sewer reticulation maintenance
and construction, implementation
of maintenance programmes
Supervise staff and
wastewater pollution control
Preparation of
estimates and programming of related works
Adjudication of
contracts including annual supplies contracts and monitoring of expenditure
Provide technical
assistance in operational queries, including the facilitation of VIP emptying
Implementation of
quality control procedures
and systems to
improve efficiency
Compliance with
the relevant and
appropriate technical, engineering, construction and other work
standards, Bylaws, Water Services and OSH Act
